Delete your Fur IQ account

You can delete your Fur IQ account and the personal data associated with it at any time. This page explains how to request deletion and exactly what happens to your data.

How to request deletion

In the Fur IQ app

  1. Open the Fur IQ app and log in
  2. Go to Profile → Settings → Account & Security
  3. Tap “Delete Account” and follow the confirmation steps

On the web

  1. Log in at furiq.io
  2. Open Settings → Account and scroll to “Danger Zone”
  3. Click “Delete Account” and follow the confirmation steps

Can't log in?

  1. Email dev@furiq.io from the address on your account
  2. Use the subject line “Account deletion request”
  3. We'll verify it's you, then process the deletion within 30 days

What happens to your data

30-day grace period

When you request deletion, your account is immediately deactivated and hidden. If you change your mind, you can restore everything by logging back in within 30 days. After 30 days, deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. Before deleting, you can download a copy of your data from the same settings screen.

Deleted permanently

  • Your profile, including your name, email address, phone number, and profile photos
  • Your pets and their profiles
  • Photos and files you uploaded
  • Your login credentials
  • Follows, notifications, and preferences
  • Business profiles you solely own, including their listings

Kept or anonymized

  • Order and payment records are retained as required for tax, accounting, and legal compliance, for as long as applicable law requires
  • Community posts and comments remain visible but are anonymized — your name and account are removed from them
